Bushnell Tour V2

Award Winning Tour V2

Bushnell once again has delivered a truly excellent rangefinder to the market. The Bushnell V2 Rangefinder (More appropriately the Tour V2.) is legal for tournament use and, more importantly, it is an improvement over previous excellent releases in the Bushnell line. Some might find this surprising because this is a miniature sized rangefinder that is hardly visually impressive. Despite the small stature, this model delivers and delivers on all expectations.

Don’t dismiss the 1.7 x 4.5 x 3.8 size and 6.6 ounce weight and its 3 volt battery power source because this model delivers. In fact, it may be one of the best rangefinders you could purchase.

Features

Although being a compact device, the Bushnell V2 rangefinder remains one of the most advanced and sophisticated models available. It is designed to employ PinSeeker technology in order to arrive at complete and consistent accuracy in all readings. Such readings can range upwards of 300 yards to the flag (offering accuracy within one yard of the flag) and do not require the use of any reflectors.

The magnification comes it at 5x and the optics are multi-coated to deliver high line clarity, brightness, and even light transmission. In short, when you want to examine a subject on the LCD display you can feel confident you are looking at an accurate image.

Scan Mode

Scan mode offers the automatic display multiple ranges while you perform a pan. This will allow you to determine the distance between targets enhance your ability to be accurate. PinSeeker mode is also included and it will aid in helping you center on the acquisition of the flag and you can do so without adding background targets into the mix which would prove confusing.

Pros and Cons

The Good

  • The grip construction is quite excellent which means you will not have to worry much about it slipping out of your hand as long as you hold it firmly.
  • The small size makes is easy to hold and maneuver.
  • The rubber surrounding this device is almost like a suit of armor protecting it from errant damage. Of course, care still needs to be taken when handling the Bushnell Tour V2 Rangefinder as it is not indestructible.

The Bad

  • The range can be a little difficult to determine when the target is less than 100 yards.
  • A 3 volt battery is a…3 volt battery. This means it will only last a limited number of rounds before having to be replaced. Obviously, that will come up with a cost.
  • The small size just might not be appealing to some.

Golfer Reviews

I had been looking for a solid rangefinder that could lower my handicap and this Bushnell did exactly that. This device comes with a slope option and that is a huge plus. Even if you choose this light model for one reason alone, the slope option should be it. – Phillip, Amazon.com

My review is short. I am an avid golfer and had used a GPS device but was very unhappy with it. I switched to this rangefinder and it was a great move because this is one of the best golf devices on the market. It is easy to point and I use it a lot at the practice range and it has helped me quite a bit. – Joe, Amazon.com
