Bushnell-Hybrid-Laser-GPSThe Bushnell Hybrid Laser GPS Rangefinder with Pin Seeker Technology will change your game. Bushnell has developed a golfer’s dream. They’ve introduced a tool to help you get from tee to green without having to wrestle with the myriad of questions that take your mind off the important part of your game, your swing.

Bushnell Hybrid Laser GPS Features

Course management is an important part of a serious golfer’s game. Standing on a fairway or in the rough trying to determine which club to use can be a difficult decision. The Hybrid Rangefinder is the instrument that will accurately measure to the to your target to within +/- 1 yard so you’ll know whether to lay-up or not.

Bushnell combined the convenience of GPS with the confidence provided by laser technology into a sleek, compact, and lightweight measuring tool.Essentially, the Bushnell Hybrid Laser GPS Rangefinder is distance made simple.  It has two types of modes (which we’ll get into later) that are PinSeeker mode, and Scan mode.

Laser

Bushnell’s rangefinder motto, “How far?” is the question golfers ask themselves all the time while carousing around the course. Let’s take a look. The Bushnell Hybrid Laser utilizes an invisible infrared pulse when fired is accurate to within plus or minus 1 yard.  Aim the laser, lock onto the pin, and a circle pops up on the viewfinder to give you an accurate distance.

  • Maximum Range (dependent on environmental conditions) for most non-reflective objects is 600 yards / 549 meters.
  • Maximum Range  for highly reflective objects is 1,000 yards / 914 meters.
  • Optics magnification is 5X.
  • Multi-coated optics – means crisp and clear imagery through the viewer or viewfinder.
  • Unit of Measurement – Displays yards or meters, your choice.

PinSeeker Mode -

The goal of PinSeeker technology is to, guess what, find and focus only on the flag. While in PinSeeker mode the processor within the Hybrid designates the forefront target and completely ignores the objects that are further back thus focusing only on the pin.  PinSeeker mode removes the frustration of “Is that really the distance?”

Scan Mode -

When in Scan mode simply pan across the target areas and the Hybrid will continuously update the distance measured from point to point.  This mode will give you the furthest distance and is great for checking the back of a bunker or the opposite of a water hazard.  Great for preparing for a difficult shot.

GPS

The GPS is push button convenience that provides distances to points on the golf course; bunkers, water hazards, greens etc. The rangefinder is pre-loaded with 16,000 courses and equipped with course and hole recognition software. Turn it on and it tells you what course you’re on.

The rangefinder can provide distances to the front, middle, and back of the green. If you’re playing a blind dogleg you can use the GPS to get your measurement to point out the distance to the hole. You can set four custom points per hole to take the guess work out of blind shots and approaches.

The Bushnell Hybrid Rangefinder also has a shot distance mode that will tell you how far you hit your last shot. Knowing the distance of your last shot is data you can use during your game or information to be used for your next round.

After purchasing the Hybrid the owner will have to register his/her Hybrid on a dedicated website for updating the increasing golf course list.

Golfer Reviews

Spidey says,
“I was searching into buying a GPS or golf range finder when I ran across the Hybrid Rangefinder that had both facets. I’ve used it a few times and am like it very much. The Pinseeker feature works very quickly and is a easy to use. I aim at the pin and it finds the distance displaying the PinSeeker icon to verifying the reading. The GPS feature is perfect for those times I don’t need exact yardages…” (This review has been paraphrased. To read the full review go here.)

Pleasant says,
“For the past 2 years I’ve owned a callaway upro and was ready for something new. I was looking for accuracy so naturally I searched for a laser rangefinder. I desired something quicker than the upro as well,  it was like I was configuring the upro while trying to golf at the same time but I didn’t want to give up the feature to get readings on a blind shot. Boy was I happy when I discovered the Bushnell Hybrid. While playing it for only a few rounds the range finder reads distances easily and quickly. Although the GPS is pretty basicI have everything I want like the middle of a hole or showing different hazards as well as the ability to add hazards on the course…” (This review has been paraphrased.
